Jimikki
The Kerala and Tamil name for a bell-shaped drop earring, the regional form of the jhumka.
A jimikki is smaller and more sharply conical than a typical North Indian jhumka, and usually plainer.
Kammal is the Tamil word for earring, so jimikki kammal simply names the bell type.
Kerala versions are often plain gold with no stones, relying on the shape and the polish alone.

Jimikkis are usually lighter than jhumkas of the same size, which makes them a good everyday alternative if you like the shape but not the weight.
