A single line of large baroque freshwater pearls, each one grown broad and flat as a coin, with soft ripples and folds across its surface. The pink is the pearls' own, running from rose through apricot to lavender as the light moves along the strand. Every pearl carries its own character, which is what gives a baroque necklace its presence, and it wears as beautifully with a saree as with a plain black top.

The flat shape lets the strand rest close along the collarbone, with the pearls overlapping gently as they sit. At 16 inches it finishes right at the base of the neck, where it frames an open or boat neckline beautifully. The strand closes with a pave-set clasp, elegant enough to wear turned to the front as an ornament in its own right.
Styling Ideas
- Moves easily between wardrobes: it sits beautifully over a saree blouse or a kurta, and just as well on a simple western neckline
- Turn the clasp to the front and it becomes a centrepiece of its own, giving the strand a second point of interest
- At 16 inches it is made for open necklines, so boat, scoop, V and off shoulder all give it room to show
